Beanz Meanz Fundz

Congratultions to Andy, The Bank Bar & Restaurants best barman (his words not mine!!).   Andy took part in a bean-a-thon to raise funds for the Children In Need Campaign.

On hearing of Andy's plans we were delighted to sponsor him in his efforts to eat as many beans as possible in 1 hour.   Andy's brave efforts raised over £800.00 and we congratulate him and his equally brave colleagues who had to work with him the next day!!!

Hooping It Up

Not to be outdone The Bank Bar & Restaurants best female bar staff (their words not mine) took part in a Hoop-A-Thon to raise funds for Sport Relief.

Once again we were delighted to sponsor Leighanna, Marie, and Ashley who managed to hoola hoop non stop for a full 2 minutes and in doing so raised over £500.00 for another excellent cause.

There is no truth in the rumour that any of them will need a hip replacement operation!!!

Erskine Under 13s

Back in the early 1970''s my Father, Jim Torrance (Sen) ,was instrumental in the formation of the Erskine Boys Football Club.

Now renamed as Erskine Youth Footbal Club (girls play football as well you know) the club has grown, with the help and commitment of volunteer committee and coaching staff, into a well established and prudently run organisation.

I am delighted to announce that we have renewed our sponsorship of the EYFC under 13''s and would like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee and Coaching Staff and to wish the team all the best for the coming season.

Hilltop Nursery School

In conjunction with Celtic Football Clubs "Coaching In The Community Initiative" and Hilltop Nursery School in Kings Park, Glasgow, we are delighted to announce sponsorship to supply football jerseys for the Nursery School Chidren.

The initiative is designed to catch children at an early age and teach them the importance of exercise and general healthy living.

I can think of no better initiative to be involved with and would like to take this opportunity to thank Jaqueline Kelly (Head Teacher) for allowing us to do so.   We wish Jaqueline, all the staff and especially the children good luck and best wishes for the future.
